The color accents that provide dimension to these accent sticks are made from cane created in the hot glass studio. Short pieces of black and white with clear cane designs were tack fused to white & black color bars to create this bi-colored installation. Depth perception is manipulated with the black & white color by simultaneously condensing and expanding elements.
The Pick-Up Stick Installation Series was inspired by the childhood game that the artist Sally use to play on her Granny Pennington’s porch. Please call to discuss the installation and shipping cost, as they require a cushioned rigid container.
